The purpose of Health/Physical Education is to provide each student with an opportunity to assess his or her wellness level both physically and mentally. To develop skills and understanding of team and individual activities that allow opportunities for developing desirable character and social traits, as well as, defined responsibilities toward the physical and psychological development of the individual.

- A) Laptop, iPad, Smartphone, or Computer to watch virtual classroom activities
- B) Notebook, paper, pencil-for classroom writing

The uniform requirements for this class are as follows:
- T-Shirt
- Shorts
- Tennis shoes

- Grading
- Each student will receive credit for watching videos for virtual class, discussing the video when necessary and correctly answering questions relevant to the video. 2-10 questions quiz/test will be graded to assess retention level. Health/P.E. Class credit in school will be based on dressing out and participating in Gym and scores on written tests in Health Class. Each student will watch each video then will either discuss what was viewed then take a 3-10 question quiz/test to assess comprehension. Each question will be worth from 1-10 points depending on the difficulty of the question.
- Gym and Health/Virtual Learning
- 40%-Full uniform requirement, Full Participation
- 60%-Activities tests will consist of pathogens, hygiene, nutrition, mental health, substance abuse, as well as rules, dimensions, history and understanding of P.E. Activites.

Students will receive at least (2) grades per week in school and 4 grades per week for
Full week Virtual classes as required by Board Policy. Total number of points each
Semester will depend on the number of assignments given.
- Absences
A student can make-up any work missed with an excused admit slip from the attendance
Office. A student with an excused slip can receive 100% on make-up work, while and
Unexcused absence will receive 75% credit.
- Learning Expectations
- Come to class on time, several tardies will result in a write-up.
- Log in and watch videos when distance learning.
- Bring all supplies everyday; you will need pencil and paper everyday and dress out clothes when we are in the gym.
- No cellphones-leave it in your locker, no gum chewing, no chip eating in the classroom or gym, or soft drinking in classroom or gym class.
- Sit quietly on your spot in the gym or in your assigned seat in the classroom. Raise your hand and get permission to get on the floor.
Activities
Each student will be able to work as a valuable team member. Each student will learn and understand the rules and regulations, and show good sportsmanship during competitive activities. For virtual activities students will watch each video and participate in any related discussions before answering questions.
